Sturm, Ruger & Co. Inc. is pleased to introduced the Ruger SR-556, a carbine length derivative of the popular SR-556. The 16.1" barrel on the SR-556C features an integrally machined flash suppressor, which minimizes the overall length of the barrel while complying with ATF regulations for civilian and commercial sales. Many of the customers appreciate the limited muzzle rise when shooting the original SR-556. The SR-556C offers the same great features that made the original SR-556 such a success" it includes the two stage piston driven operating system with a four-position adjustable gas regulator; chrome plated, cold hammer forged barrel; Troy Industries Folding Battlesights, Quad Rail, and rail overs; chrome plated bolt carrier group and operating system, six-position stock, Hogue Monogrip and three 30 round Magpul PMAG magazines.

RUGER 556C

The 556c handles quicker, and the reduced length makes it a bit handier in tight quarters. The SR-556c still has all the features of the original such as the aforementioned four position gas regulator, chrome plated bolt carrier, and Troy Industries quad rail, covers, and folding battle sights. It also has a Hogue pistol grip and comes with three thirty-round Magpul magazines with feed lip covers, and a handy padded carry case.100 yards, the accuracy is superb.Fluting the barrel and shortening it shaves off about a half pound from the rifle’s barrel, dramatically changing the balance of the rifle. A joy to shoot. If you have not considered this gun give it a shot. You will like it .
